Sunday, 4th - Brunch at Basin Harbor - 11 am - 2 pm $30 adults; $14 children - Reservations suggested. A nice treat.

Tuesday, 6th - Lake Champlain Islands Chamber of Commerce Summer Concerts, Knight's Park in North Hero, 6 - 7:30 pm. July 6th concert rain site: North Hero Methodist Church. Picnic in lower hall, concert in the sanctuary! We will call it that morning and try tweeting ... people call - 372-8400

Friday, 9th - Burlington Rotary Summer Concerts in City Hall Park, 5 - 6:30 pm. Concerts are re-scheduled if raining.

Sunday, 11th - Brunch at Basin Harbor - 11 am - 2 pm $30 adults; $14 children - Reservations suggested. A nice treat.

Wednesday, 14th - Swanton Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert - 6 - 9 pm. In the park ... on the green ... on the bandstand. Bring a blanket and get ready to boogie to a variety of music. Rain site: Swanton VFW Hall.

Thursday, 15th - Snow Farm Winery Summer Concerts - So. Hero. 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Bring a blanket or a chair, some food, friends and listen and dance to some great music outside ... by the lake ... possibly sipping some wine. A nice family affair as well.

Sunday, 18th - Brunch at Basin Harbor - 11 am - 2 pm $30 adults; $14 children - Reservations suggested. A nice treat.

Sunday, 18th - Brunch at Summer Sounds Concerts. Municipal Park in Highgate from 7 - 9 pm, ... always free. The rain site at Methodist Church in Highgate.

Friday, 23rd - Revelry in the Red Barn Summer Dancing & Dessert Series, Dance #3 of 5 at Mary's Inn at Baldwin Creek, a good time for adults! Great music, dancing and dessert buffet. Advance tickets $20 per person or $35 per couple. At the door: $25 per person. You don't need to dance; simply enjoy eating dessert, watching people dance and listening to music! Doors open at 7:00. Instruction 7:15-7:45. Dancing and dessert 8:00-10:30. Here's an opportunity to learn and dance with some of Vermont's dance stars. No partner necessary. So put on your dancing shoes and handsome duds and learn basic Foxtrot or Lindy Hop or Blues dance from the guest instructors. Return engagement instructors for July 23rd are Carolyn and Bill Pedrick who just won the bronze medal in the International Standard Championship Division at the USA Dance National Championships held in Los Angeles, California in April. This is a great opportunity for all!

Wednesday, 28th - Open to the public Elks Club (241 N. Winoski Avenue, Burlington - McClure Multi-generational Center) dinner for Champlain Senior Center. Full roast pork dinner & strawberry shortcake for dessert. $5 per plate. Limited seating. Call Marie for reservations at 658-3585. Doors open at 4 pm. Music from 5 - 6:30 pm.

Guest Instructors: Chris Nickl and Shirley McAdam, avid Lindy Hoppers who travel frequently (recently Boston, Mass.) to pursue their passion, have been dancing and teaching together since 2002. There playful, patient, and professional teaching style and their dedicated to making Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Blues dancing accessible to everyone. As founding members of Vermont Swings, they enthusiastically nurture a warm and welcoming Lindy Hop community and promote vintage Swing dance in the Burlington, Vermont area. Another great opportunity to learn from some of Vermont's finest.
